ORION’s Nexus K–12 Teacher Survey was launched on July 1, 2014 and engaged K–12 educators to help us understand how our network can better align with their e-learning and technology initiatives in the classroom. The survey was open to teachers in all Ontario school boards – 235 responses were received from across the province.
After careful review, ORION has selected Heather Theijsmeijer from the Rainbow District School Board as the winner. In the survey, Heather detailed her BYOD initiatives in teaching Math at the Manitoulin Secondary School and expounded on the crucial role of connectivity in her work. We are excited to award her class with Ubislate tablets and look forward to working with her in early 2015 to support their use with her students.
ORION is also awarding the runners-up – Lisa Noble from Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and Nathan Karstulovich from Durham District School Board – with a tablet each.
