Branham Group’s Top 250 Canadian ICT Companies of 2015 Recognizes ORION
(Toronto) – For two consecutive years, the Ontario Research and Innovation Optical Network (ORION) has been awarded one of Canada’s 250 top information and communication technology (ICT) companies on the Branham300 list, published by technology consultancy, Branham Group.
Rising 14 spots to 225 in the most recent ranking, ORION is recognized as part of Branham Group’s annual review of the Canadian tech sector. The listing strives to raise the profile of the Canadian ICT industry, identify its leaders, as well as illustrate the depth and breadth of innovative technology that is offered by Canadian ICT organizations on a national and international stage. It also ranks emerging ICT companies, software companies, hardware and infrastructure companies, and more.
ORION Nebula partners, Spyders, was also ranked 173 in 2014, rising 40 spots from 2013 and TeraGo Networks (the parent company of RackForce) ranked 79, moving up three spots from 2013.
At the Toronto launch of the 2015 Branham300 event, Wayne Gudbranson, CEO, Branham shared insight about emerging trends in the growth of ICT across the country, including that fact that there were 133 more ICT companies in Ontario, compared to 2014. Michael Monteith, CEO of ThoughtWire and Michael Wekerle of Dragon’s Den, underlined the importance of disruptive innovation and the future of tech hubs in Canada.
Highlights of the annual review include:
- 52% of Top 250 companies hit double-digit growth
